Into the Light Aleatha Romig Books
OMG I don’t even know what to say about this book. Once again, Aleatha Romig has totally mind fooked me. I am not always a fan of thrillers, mysteries or suspense, but I love this author and wanted to give this one a go. My god this one got me from the start. I couldn’t put it down and I was questioning everything- I thought I had a lot figured out then that 99% mark hit and I was wrong. WRONG. I still can’t get over how wrong I was and how shocked I am by that ending! This one has really threw me for a loop! I feel traumatized by this new knowledge I have and I’m not sure how I’m going to wait four more months to get closure! The Light is a story that primarily follows three pov’s. Stella’s, Sara’s, and Jacob’s. Stella is a reporter who is breaking ground on a story about a cult like church called ‘The Light’. She is also trying to find leads on her missing best friend and fellow reporter, Molly. Sara is a girl who lost her memory and woke up from a terrible accident not knowing who she was or where she was. Jacob is Sara’s husband and they are followers of The Light. Yep. That’s all you’re getting from me about this story. Do yourself a favor and read it without any spoilers or too in-depth reviews, because you really want to get the full impact at the end!
When I read the last chapter of this book, I got the tingles going down my spine and my stomach plummeted. I actually paused the book and messaged a friend who had already read because I couldn’t believe it. I just finished the book and I think I’m still in shock. This book surprised me in the best way. It made me question everything and crave more.
Aleatha Romig has an incredible imagination and a way with words. Her stories are always so complex and wonderfully written. It’s been a while since a book has truly made my heart race and had me this on edge. This story is full of mystery, suspense, secrets and is a book that will make you think and keep your mind racing. If you love a good mystery/thriller pick this one up- if you’re like me and it’s not your genre of choice, I still recommend you give it a go. It was a fantastic read and one I know I’ll be thinking about for a long while!

Into the Light Aleatha Romig Books Reviews
This is my first book by author Aleatha Romig. I went into this book completely blind. Oh wow, this book was so amazing!
I would categorize this book as a romantic suspense thriller (which is my new favorite genre).
Into the Light is the first book of a duology. It ends with a big cliffhanger.
There are three narrators Sara, Stella and Jacob. Sara wakes up with no memory of her life. Stella is a reporter. And Jacob is Sara's husband. The narrators alternate chapters (although Sara and Stella are the main narrators).
This book starts with a chilling prologue. I absolutely love when the prologue hooks me into the story. A woman cannot see. Then we find Sara waking up in pain. She is in a very strange situation. She does not remember anything.
The story goes back and forth between Sara (in Alaska) and Stella (in Detroit).
I found both stories to be super interesting.
Stella is an investigative journalist for WCJB in Detroit. She is dating Dylan, who is a detective.
Sara's world now consists of following Father Gabriel's philosophy where women must obey their husbands.
I don't want to go into too much detail. But I loved everything about this book. It was intense and full of suspense. It was riveting. I was completely captivated.
There were things that I thought that I knew. But i was wrong. There were a few things that I suspected that ended up being right. But there were also things that blew my mind.
This story was so intriguing. And I really liked having 3 POVs. They were all so different and so interesting.
This book has an incredible cliffhanger ending and it ends in such an interesting place. I highly recommend this book.
This book was excellent! From the first moment I opened it, I knew it was going to be a winner. For weeks, I've been tempted to read it but I knew I had other books to read, so I kept on placing it on the back burner. As the days progressed, my GR's feed had at least a couple of great reviews for it.
I'm happy to report I can add this book to the Best of 2016.
Into the Light follows the lives of Stella Montgomery, Sara, and Jacob.
Stella Montgomery is an investigative reporter. She's good at her job and she's dedicated to it. Now more than ever after her best friend Mindy goes missing. Stella needs to find out what really happened to her. Her research takes her on multiple tangents but she is positive, the cult The Light has something to do with it.
Sara wakes up in what seems to be a hospital bed. She has a concussion, multiple rib fractures, a fractured leg and memory loss. A man by the name of Jacob is there with her at all times. He says he's her husband. Sara doesn't remember anything and she's so confused when strangers talk to her about her forgotten past. She soon realizes that she's part of a community where whatever Jacob and Brother Gabriel say must be followed.
I love that Aleatha included Jacob's POV. It was definitely needed. Otherwise, I would've wanted to attack him and hit him hard a couple of times. However, I fell in love with him. His love for Sara is real. I can't wait to see what happens next!
Into the Light is full of suspense, intrigue and I was delighted with it. I wanted to devour it and get to the bottom of the truth. Even though I guessed the plot earlier on, I was entertained the whole way through.
Now, I just need Oct 18th to come tomorrow.
Cliffhanger Yes
