It is all I can do to try to finish this book. It is so unrealistic and sickeningly perfect that it is often a struggle to read. I paid for the book so I feel that I should finish it but it is a real challenge. None of the characters have any depth; they are shallow and annoying at best. The main characters are enough to cause diabetes they are so syrupy, and to be honest, quite nauseating. My eyes have rolled so many times reading this I'm afraid that if I do finish it, they will be stuck in the back of my head.

I did have a good time reading this book. I enjoyed the characters. I enjoy reading any book set in England or Scotland.
A fun sequel to the first book after introducing another romance at the beginning. A fun ending, bringing all the characters to a conclusion.
Another good book from Emily Harvale. This was a sequel and I always like to find out what is going on with the characters that I have already been introduced to. If you like romantic comedies, you will like this one
This book is the continuation of Highland Fling. I truly enjoyed Fling, but Lizzie Marshall's Wedding was just painful and unrealistic. If the author had thrown in a unicorn, I wouldn't have been surprised. The entire premis was juvenile and unrealistic.
After thoroughly enjoying Highland Fling, I was very happy to see this follow-up book with many of the same characters. It was a fun, quick read, but not as good as Highland Fling. This is a lot more romantic "I'll love you forever and solve all of your problems for you" lovey-dovey type of story.
At first I was a little hesitant about this book because I was hoping it was a continuation of the first book Highland Fling. Instead it was more of a stand alone book with a sprinkling of the original characters. With that said, I still really enjoyed this read. It's an endearing love story that makes you smile and giggle throughout the entire read. I really enjoyed the heartwarming connection between Max and Lily also. So glad I purchased this! I would love to read a third book in this series (wink, wink). I would like to know if Max and Becky filled any of the rooms at his mothers house )
I really loved Emily Harvale's first book - Highland Fling, and after reading it immediately downloaded this book. I am not going to list the story line as anyone can read what its about at the beginning of this page. It is a sequel, but its not necessary to read them in order, although characters from the first book do appears in this one, they don't really affect the story line. I love reading about life in English villages, and this book brought the little village to life. I also enjoyed the interaction between Becky and her two friends and they are all so relatable. I recommend this book as a light hearted, but heartwarming read.
